Camping and outdoor activities fulfill a Cub Scout's dream of fun, excitement, and adventure. They provide a natural setting for quality time with family and friends. Camping satisfies young people's curiosity about the pioneering way of life in America. Patriots' Path Council sponsors camps with certified leadership and ideal settings for activities such as swimming, archery, BB guns, boating, nature, ecology, crafts, STEM, and games. Many opportunities are waiting for your child and your family.

Spring Cubelos Camping
Join dozens of other units from Patrios Path Council on an overnight program packed with skills, adventure and fun.
Family Camping at Watchung Scout Reservation
Introducing families to the basics of camping, just 15 minute drive away. Learn the basics, get comfortable and test our your gets. Explore the outdoors and get ready for bigger adventures to come!
Fall Family Camping at Winnebago Scout Reservations
Explore one of the nearby scout reservations with the pack. An easy entry into camping and the outdoors for families of all skill levels.

1.5 Mile Fall Hike at Jockey Hollow, Morristown
Our Nations First National Historical Park. Morristown National Historical Park commemorates the sites of General Washington and the Continental Army’s winter encampment of December 1779 to June 1780, where they survived through what would be the coldest winter on record. The legacy of the Jockey Hollow Trail teaches Scouts about the history of Morristown during the Revolutionary War and the hardships the soldiers endured.

Pinewood Derby Build-night
Experience car builders coach and guide scouts and family members of all skill levels to use the pack wood working equipment to design, cut, drill, sand, fine-tune, style-up and speed-max your ride.
Cub Scouts design, build and race small wooden cars powered by gravity. The cars are built from kits that include a block of wood, plastic wheels, and metal axles, and are decorated with paint, decals, and other accessories. Let 'em rip!
Rain-gutter Regatta
The Rain-gutter Regatta gives Cub Scouts a chance to make a model sail boat and race it with others. Traditionally, rain gutters were closed on each end and filled with water to serve as the race course. Today, options include plastic and inflatable courses.
Cranford Tree Lighting
Support your community as the cub scouts provide cookies and hot-chocolate for the town tree-decorating ceremony.
Bicycle Safety Rally
Partner with local police to provide skill and safety tips for young riders. Let older riders inspire you to reach the next level. Can you complete the skills course? Training wheels welcome.
Blue and Gold Banquet
Cub Scouting’s birthday party—for all pack member and their families— usually takes place in February or March.
Rocket Launch
Ready...Set...Launch! An opportunity for Scouts to explore their rocketry journey to assemble and decorate model rockets, launch solid fuel rockets up into the sky, and finally retrieve them.
Scouting for Food
Connect with commuity. Did you know that every year local scouts restock the local foodbank shelves for the winte months? Hundreds of donations from all over town are collected and sorted by Cubs, Scouts and Girl Scouts of Cranford, feeding families in our community and beyond in times of need.
Family Swim Night
A family event at Cranford's indoor pool.
Family Movie Night
Enjoy a private viewing of a Scout friendly movie at Cranford's movie theater.
Rock Climbing
Test their agility and your courage as scouts climb their way to the top.
Live Animal Showcase / Lizard Guy
Some wildlife is best explored from the safety of the auditorium and with the guidance and expertise of trained professionals. A great one for siblings!

Canoeing
Canoe the Rahway River at Cranford Canoe Club.
